A full and in depth consultation is carried out at the time of your appointment to have your procedure done, to understand your skin suitability and realistic expectations of permanent make-up. All colors and shapes are customized to each person! I will always draw on first to make sure this is YOUR desired shape, no surprises! A consent form will be filled out to ensure we have all the medical information necessary for the procedure. Your photo will be taken and we will apply topical anesthetic cream to start your numbing process so you will be comfortable during the procedure and the initial measurements will be marked and drawn on first to make sure this is YOUR desired shape, color and get your approval before we start.
If you plan on waxing or threading your brows, have this done at least 48 hours prior of your appointment. Otherwise, there is no need to groom your brows if you do not wish. We can clean up hairs during your appointment in a way that flatters your new shape. A common misconception is that we shave the eyebrows prior to tattooing — this is untrue! We work with your existing hair growth.
Keep your skin moisturized.
No tanning or extreme sun exposure for four weeks prior to your appointment.
No Botox, fillers, laser, or peels four weeks prior to your appointment.
Avoid caffeine and alcohol 48 hours prior to your appointment.
Avoid medications that thin your blood (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, blood thinners) for 72 hours before and after your procedure.
If you are unsure of your prescriptions, please consult with your doctor prior to booking.
Once we have defined shape, I apply anesthetics and discuss your aftercare procedure. We will mix colors and match swatches. When all bases are covered, it is time to begin tattooing!
I’m using disposable tools to implant the dermatologist tested and state of the art pigments into the skin (NOT body art inks as they are not fit for a natural look on the face) Throughout the process, I’ll continuously apply anesthetic to increase comfort. A first session typically lasts about two and a half to three hours.
When the treatment is finished some after care cream is applied. You’ll be advised on after care and given an after-care leaflet. The treatment area may feel sensitive. You may have some swelling which should settle down within a few hours.
What to Expect
- Microblading can take 6-8 weeks to fully heal.
- After 8 weeks, we are able to complete the touch up session.
- During the healing period, your eyebrows will look darker and bolder. Keep in mind that the healed result will be lighter and softer
